Art in the landscape

Young Wood Courses - Earth Art

Have you ever noticed how many different colours of mud there are?  Ever considered the creative potential it offers?

Here's a chance to learn some techniques for turning 'mud' into works of art, on a day-course in the forest - new skills, real training, a relaxed atmosphere, and a beautiful place.

Using the wonderful soils at Young Wood, this course will involve collecting samples of earth, clay, plants,  berries and charcoal from the forest, and making pigments from them for painting, or for use in simple sculptures.

The course is for adults and children over 14.  It will be led by artist Lisa Chell.
